About me

I am a Research Associate at the WHO Collaborating Centre for Health Literacy (WHO-CCHL) at TU München, where I lead evidence synthesis for WHO-mandated global projects on adolescent health literacy. I hold a Master of Science in Health Prevention and Promotion from TUM, supported by a DAAD Scholarship, and a Bachelor of Dental Surgery with Honours from Sana'a University.

My early research was driven by a simple but persistent question: how does knowledge, or the lack of it, affect the safety and quality of care? To explore it, I conducted studies on burnout among healthcare workers, occupational hazards in dental practice, and infection control awareness among dental students.

Seeking deeper answers brought me to oral oncology, HPV-related cancers, and cancer epidemiology. These are conditions that cut lives short, often silently, in people who did not know they were at risk. That is what keeps me in research, and what I hope my work, in some small way, helps address.
